Suggestion

Fantastic software! But i also would like to give a suggestion: In south america and most european countries, the notes dont Came in letters like, A, B, C, E, D, F, G, it cames in: DO, RE, MI, FA, SOL, LA, SI So, if you can also give this option for us i would appreciate, this way wont Confuse our mind, and can be a great improvement between your Software to the others. Thank you,

great

great software, its helping me a lot. why not putting some real musical pieces to practice reading?

Not overwhelming

Ugly interface. Keys very narrow. Guess ok for the price.

External keyboard support is great

Ive been meaning to sit at my keyboard and properly re-learn the notation but none of the other apps supported that and I really hate those little on-screen buttons. With the latest piano tutor I can finally do it. Im really happy, I like this method of learning, its how Ive learned to touch type as well, definitely a worthwhile app. Admittedly the interface is a bit clunky and looks like a late 90s application for a pc, but otherwise definitely worth the price.

Great at what it does!

The first app I downloaded to begin the process of memorizing notes was called Notes!, and it was OK, but slow, and didnt have a full keyboard. The other program helped me commit the notes to memory for sure, but once I downloaded this app, I started to improve a lot faster. Plus Im starting to really figure out the keyboard layout. My only complaint is that this is the only app I have ever used that seems to override the volume settings of my iPad, and play at full volume even when I turn it down. The mute switch still works though, so I usually play with the sound off so that it doesnt drive other people in the house nuts.

Great app!

Pretty decent app! Helps you improve your reading! Would love to see: - better stats - interval training - chord training - no presses of white keys in between the black key areas I dont have much use for the pitch training but the reading training is awesome! Havent tested the midi connection. Gonna buy the camera connection kit and update.

Piano

I think that this is a very good app but I think it should also teach kids how to play simple songs. : D

For what it does right

This is the first app Ive seen that actually did the seemingly obvious thing and allow a real piano, via MIDI to be used to practice. I can already feel my eyes crossing from the pain of the learning: this is a good thing. Id suggest a couple of different lessons rather than just random notes, learning and practicing intervals might make all the difference.

Good to get it

Great app for entry level!

Quick and simple

Learned how to read music pretty quickly using this app. A few annoyances though. Hard to hit proper black keys. Should have separate high scores for treble and base =p

Very good!

Highly recommended to learn to read and memorize note names and its position on the keyboard.

The best ive found in the Apple store

Great app.

Very, very impressed

It blows me away that I can hook up my iPad to my electronic keyboard, via a USB connector, and this app recognizes my keyboard. I purchased a $50 software package that doesnt even do that. Although I do know how to read music I am only beginning to learn piano and this app really helps with associating the keys on the keyboard with notes on the staff. The have also included lesson for various scales such as G Major, D Major etc. You cant go wrong with purchasing this app. Doest matter weather you are 4 years old or 52, like myself. Way to go guys - thanks for a great app. Gerry O.

Helpful tool for this beginner

Im studying Pianoforall and need some help learning to read the bass clef. This little app is very useful. I gave it only 3 stars because I hate smiley faces and dont like having to look for the little red X or the smiley to find out if Ive got it right or wrong. A buzz for wrong or bell for right (for instance) would be more logical since were dealing with sound in the first place, and having to take your eyes off the notes is a distraction and slows you down.

Goodnight

Practicing my note reading with this app is the last thing I do every night.

The Best Piano App. Period.

Just buy it. Trust me, you wont regret it. I am sure glad I did! :-)

Great

This app is very helpful and helps you get better at reading music.

Useful

Great app to learn reading music. Only two weeks, a beginner and i know most of the notes with minimal practice.

This is a solid app

This app works. I have lots of other sight training apps and this one puts the pressure on so you have to perform, so for me thats good. Plus the keyboard to iPad hook is awesome for training the eye and the hand. I have a cheap and cheerful korg keyboard at work that I use at lunch with this app. Very useful and Im learning, finally, to read music at the age of 54! Love the piano.

Very good

I am new to piano. This app is the best to me.
